I have been serving as the lead pastor of Ship Nazarene since May of
2021. Prior to this I was the Associate Pastor for almost 4 years. I am
married to Jennifer, and I have 3 children in their 20’s, Paige, Lane,
and Natasha.
I believe God has called me to point people to Jesus - teaching,
equipping and empowering people so that they can become part of
God’s transforming work in their lives, in their community, in our
world. I love interacting with people of all ages but have a special
passion for ministry to young adults. Because of this you can often
find me on the campus of Shippensburg University.
Outside of ministry, my hobbies include hunting, fishing, being in the
outdoors, basketball, volleyball, cornhole, and various card games. My
favorite time of the year is Fall.
If you are looking for a church to connect with, I would love to share
more with you about Ship Nazarene. You can call or text me at 717

I was born and raised in Shippensburg. I have degrees in Communication, Management and Supervision, Computer Science and Christian Counseling. I have been coming to this church since Oct 1999. I am currently a retired pastor but still serving on staff. I run Healing Souls Ministry which is a counseling center to help people who are struggling. I also work at Community Cares Family Shelter in Shippensburg; I am the manager. I enjoy meeting and talking with new people.

I am the Associate Pastor of Education and Day Care Director at Shippensburg Church of the Nazarene. Ship Nazarene has been my home church for 30 years and I have been involved with Junior church for the majority of that time. I am an ordained elder and I used to pastor the Gettysburg COTN. My husband, Keith Cordell and I have been married for 40 years. Keith helps out by working in the sound booth at the church. I have 2 grown children and two grandsons ages 2 and 4. (I also got a new puppy named Abby that acts like a toddler around the house.) I also lead a ladies small group where we encourage each other and do life together.

I have been serving as the full time Young Adult/Youth Pastor as Ship Nazarene since
Spring of 2021. Prior to this I was the Youth Intern for 2 years. I am engaged to my fiancée Jess,
to be married in June 2023. We have recently adopted a miniature golden doodle puppy named
Honey. She is adorable, and I have already been accused of spoiling her!
I admit to being a hybrid of both a nerd and gym class try hard! I love going to our local
parks and joining a pick-up basketball game, but also can be absorbed in a good book for a big
chunk of the day. You will probably find that I can be a goofball and have a great (some say
awful) obsession with dad jokes. There are times to be serious, but I also really appreciate the
gift of laughter and silliness, meaning I’m not one to carry myself too seriously. This is probably
most highlighted in my obsession of crocs and my willingness to attempt to be barefoot as much
as possible outside of that. (I have in fact been told no about wearing crocs or no shoes at all by
the fiancée for our wedding ceremony, and yes… that was an actual discussion/debate)
I am currently taking the course of study to become an ordained elder in the Church of
the Nazarene and have received my license to officially hold the title and responsibilities of
pastor this past April of 2023. I believe very passionately in the power of Jesus Christ and that
through belief in His death and resurrection, all that is broken can be reconciled. With the Holy
Spirit’s guidance, I am dedicated to helping teens and young adults experience, be filled with,
and spread the reconciling love that only Christ can bring to their families, community, and
world.

When I'm not maintaining the events and social media for Ship Naz, you can find me hard at work as a Shippensburg University student. I spend my free time reading, crocheting, listening to music, and playing board games!

I have been a member of Ship Naz since 2019, so Addy (my granddaughter) and I have seen a lot of exciting changes. We can't wait to see where else God is moving! My full time ministry is owner of a group private mental health practice in Chambersburg. I love teaching, preaching, and helping people live into who God has created them to be.
