At Ship Nazarene, our mission is to invite people to journey with Jesus and experience God’s love, grace, and purpose for their lives. This requires a community with core values that help us journey together and share our real-life experiences.

Jesus has invited us into a journey with Him. How do we invite others into that journey?

We invite others into the journey with Jesus by making four commitments to ministry.

Build Relationships – Adding someone to your life while being intentional for Jesus

Engage in Community – Joining others on the journey to find encouragement, accountability, and support

Grow Spiritually – Cooperating with God’s transformation work by practicing habits and activities that Jesus modeled for us.

Serve Others – Using your time, talents, and treasures to serve in and outside the church.

Our Journey Marks:

This journey is a journey in which we experience God’s grace and then express the same grace He has given us to others.

We experience growth as we journey with Jesus and learn more about who he is. We cooperate with God’s work of transformation by practicing the life habits that Jesus modeled for us, and we learn to rely on the guidance and direction of His Spirit.

This journey with Jesus becomes a life of understanding who God created us to be. We then use the gifts and graces He has given us to fulfill our purpose in Him.

As we realize the gracious generosity of God to us, we begin to give back to Him regularly, and sacrificially a proportion of the resources He has so graciously given to us.

The journey with Jesus is a life of being sent. Jesus said, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth”. We are sent to share the Good News of Jesus in our homes, workplaces, neighborhoods, and around the world. Go local, go global.
